Our loss is Heaven's Gain! May you rest in peace Assyriah Shahdae Kane!
An Angel gets her Wings!
Life and death have been one of the biggest mystery’s we as humans have not been able to master, to put a formula on, use technology to predict or prevent, or fully understand! How does a man use harmful drugs for over 30 years but still lives, how does a child break five or six bones throughout their childhood and still grow up to become an amazing athlete, or how does a woman who has been told by doctors and specialists all over the country that she can/will never bear children, give birth to several children?… Only God knows! And only he can answer why a beautiful, innocent, loving child would receive cancer and then be laid to rest just months later!…
Death makes us realize so much about life! It makes us appreciate the good as well as the bad, the friends as well as the enemies and the ups as well as the downs, because in the end, you’re still here, still surviving and fighting. But for some of us, our time has come and gone, and all those of us still striving can do to achieve what those gone have is to celebrate the life that they had and live ours to the fullest.
Today let’s celebrate the life of my baby cousin, Assyriah Shahdae Kane, born on November 10, 2009 and given back to God on November 16, 2011. Assyriah was diagnosed with neuroblastoma just six months ago and after several surgeries, treatments and chemotherapy she grew too tired to fight any longer. God saw her suffering and he decided on long before we knew of his existence that she would join him on that day. For that we are thankful, we thank God that her suffering is over and we pray for those still battling cancer and fighting all other diseases that God will give them strength and understanding, as well as their families, that everything happens for a reason and to trust him with their whole hearts.
Assyriah temporarily leaves behind an older sister and brother, mother and father, grandparents, aunts, uncles, lots of cousins, and lots of smiles and warm memories!
Until we meet, in a beautiful place where there is no death, no disease, no crying, no tears, no hurts, no sadness and no pain. You are my inspiration to strive toward and complete the purpose that God has put me on this earth to fulfill and enjoy the time here with the people that God has blessed me to come in contact with, so that we can meet again and be glorious and rejoice together amongst the hosts of angels, for our God is great!!
**Thank you, to ALL of the friends, families, loved ones and strangers who prayed. Thank you to the hospital staff and doctors for doing everything that you could! God said, “I’ll take it from here!” and who better than He to take over!
“The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.”
-Job 1:21
Today’s Thought: “God has not promised to keep us from life’s storms, but He will keep us through them.”
In everything give thanks.
-Thessalonians 5:18
Celebrate our Black History! Did you know?…
Distortion!… “Your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God…”
“All human attempts to explain God are inadequate, and can even distort our priorities, confuse our thinking, and flatten our understanding of the spiritual life. To keep from distorting God’s truth, we must rely on God’s power rather than man’s wisdom (1 Corinthians 2:5).
-Julie Ackerman Link
“To detect error, expose it to the light of God’s truth.”
“Your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.”
Today’s Bible Verse …I grew up on this verse!
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him,and he will make straight your paths. #Bible http://j.mp/hM69oE
