What are we fighting for . . .

I’ve recently been faced with a number of situations that have forced me to look at the world through a new set of eyes. The more I journey as a disciple, the more I realize that the way our world is set up, and they way we are taught growing up is exactly the opposite of how God views us. Author Philip Yancey writes, “To gain a new perspective, look at the world upside down as Jesus did…” I found this very interesting because I always measure what is “right” by comparing it to love, through God’s definition and instruction. I’ve realized that in order to follow in the footsteps of Christ we have to go to the places no one else wants to go, do the things that no one else want to do, and be the things that everyone else are afraid to be… Matthew 9:12 states, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick…” This is extremely important because we are always taught to chase after the highest and the richest, but what about those that are without… Wouldn’t it make more sense to partner with those who need help, in order to be great and prosper… Or why abandon the poor and sick to join with the rich, when all that does is leave the poor poor… How is that solving any problem?… Jesus came to do the dirty work that everyone else was afraid to do… And when it comes to love, which we know is the most important entity in God’s eyes, we have to take time and invest in the ones that are lacking. They are looking for love in all of the wrong places, and we as believers but be “the way, the truth and the life…” John 14:6. We can not give up on those that need us most, we have to pray and fast, interceding on behalf of them… We have to fight! No, it is not/will not be easy but it has to be done. What if half way along Jesus’ journey He gave up and quit… Where would we be? All of humanity would be damned! So we must pattern ourselves after the One and great, true leader, and fight this Holy war. He has already completed the hardest part of this battle, and we already know the outcome, which should fuel our fire to stand in the gap for those that need a little more healing, a little more car and a little more love. For several years I have had to deal with those that are trying to find their way, and I always asked God “why?” Now I know! It is because they see the light of our Lord in me and they are drawn to it, God’s word will never fail. He instructs us to just do His will, obey His word and follow the footsteps of Christ, and our light, through the Holy Spirit, will do the rest… Save souls! Praise God, because He could have chosen anyone else… He could have wiped out all of humanity and started over… He can receive praise from the angels, and even the trees… But he chose you and me!

Glory be to The Most High God!!!

“We know, Jesus, that You sought the lowley ones who were rejected by others. We want to be like You. Open our eyes and show us how. We long to used by You to bless others.”
