Been feeling alone? Let’s pray!

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for sending Your son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins. Thank You for sending Him to break the chains of religion that alienate those that You love most. For You said in Your word that You will leave the 99 to chase the 1, and Lord we thank You. Thank You for showing us the importance of having a tribe and a community of believers that we can fellowship with, lean on, learn from, and grow with. Jesus had 12, Job had 3, Shadrach had Meshach and Abednego, Moses had Aaron, Mary had Elizabeth, and Naomi had Ruth.

Thank You for the single parents, who continuously sacrifice their time, desires and needs, in order to provide stability and love to their children. Strengthen them, cover them, provide their every need according to Your riches and glory. Send them a community of people whom they can depend on, lean on, confide in and trust–whom their children are safe with and covered with love, joy, peace, kindness and gentleness with. Thank You for the elderly, whose spouses and loved ones may have long gone, or who may not have anyone to help take care of them, or visit them. Send angels to protect them and carry them through their time on this earth. Remind them that You’re still their God and You haven’t forgotten about them. Allow them to see and feel the reverence they deserve for paving the path before us. Thank You for all of those people out there who are living life, working, serving, searching, and just trying to figure it out and survive. Thank You for leading, guiding and protecting them. God, no matter the situation or circumstance, I know You didn’t intend for us to do life alone. There’s no way that a God as great and magnificent as You, created all of these beautiful, unique and diverse people, just for us to watch each other in need, and hope from afar that they will be ok.

Thank You for Your soldiers who work and serve on the front lines of our communities each day. Who sacrifice in order to provide us with safety, comfort and stability. Thank you for the teachers, the administrators, the policemen and women, our healthcare workers, social workers, grocery store clerks and owners, maintenance men, construction and sanitation workers, firemen, postmen and women, and so many more.

We rebuke the lies that make people who ask for help feel like they are vulnerable or weak. When you uncover your wounds, you allow them to heal. Your scars show that you weren’t afraid to try, and that you are alive! You don’t have to be strong—God said His strength is made perfect in our weaknesses. You don’t have to keep your problems to yourself—God said cast all your cares on Him, for He cares for you. You don’t have to know the answers or figure it out by yourself—God gave us a guide, with 66 books, filled with stories about people! People He loved and adored. People who made mistakes, went astray, needed help, healing and deliverance—all to reveal the height, width and depth of His love. And the good news is He didn’t stop there. What He revealed to us through the pages of the Bible, and through the death and resurrection of His son Jesus Christ, is that we have the same power to continue those teachings today, with one another. Despite our changing world, our Father is the same yesterday, today and forever. So open your book, show your pages and allow God to continue to write your story.

Thank you Jesus!

Amen!!!
